As a psychotherapist I view my role as a guide and companion on one’s heroic journey of self-discovery towards living a life full of meaning, purpose, joy, self-expression, and authenticity. As a depth psychotherapist I have curiosity and reverence for the unconscious aspects of the psyche. I view symptoms, not as something to be fixed or eradicated, but rather as messengers of soul that, should we be quiet and curious enough to listen, may lead us deeper into ourselves, and into our lives.
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
Rainer Maria Rilke
